Join us for our virtual events, hosted live by our counselors. They will present on a variety of topics and will be available to answer questions. Learn more about the admissions process, campus community, and the University of Rochester’s unique approach to learning.

Virtual Information Sessions

Our general information session is a great way to get an overview of the University of Rochester’s unique approach to learning, the campus community, and the admissions process from one of our admissions staff members. This one hour session allows for plenty of time to also have any of your questions answered through an online chat feature.

Virtual information sessions will be offered on Mondays and Fridays at various times.  They will also be offered on select Saturdays and Sundays.

College Admissions Workshop Series

Navigating the college search and decision process can be difficult. Our College Admissions Workshop Series is designed to give you an opportunity to learn directly from our admissions staff on important focused topics related to the college admissions process. Our staff will guide you through each topic and be available to answer any questions you may have as you prepare to apply to the University of Rochester or other institutions.

The workshop series will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at various times. Topics will include:

Rochester Workshop Series

While the virtual information sessions are a great way to learn the basics about Rochester, you may want to learn more. The Rochester Workshop Series is designed to give you an opportunity to dive deeper into various topics related to the University of Rochester experience.

Virtual Interviews

Virtual interviews are now available for rising high school seniors and transfer students interested in applying for fall 2021. Virtual interviews are conducted online with admissions representatives using video chat software.  Due to high demand, we also offer alumni interviews.

Region-Specific Virtual Events

Besides our workshop series and information sessions, we are excited to offer virtual events designed for students and families in different regions around the world. These virtual events will be led by your regional admissions counselor.

Research Rochester

Our open-house events have gone virtual! Join us on one of our five dates this fall to learn even more about what makes Rochester unique.

Multicultural Visitation Program (MVP)

University of Rochester’s Multicultural Visitation Program (MVP) brings together high school seniors from diverse backgrounds and allows them to experience Rochester on a more personal level.  The program has gone virtual this year with a series of workshops in November.  Visit here for more information.
