What is The Hive?
The Hive allows applicants to share information about themselves by creating their own profile. A student can make their credentials, interests, and supporting facets public for other applicants—and the University— to see. It lets students get a look at fellow applicants and gives them another chance to show Admissions their best self, to provide interesting details that don’t necessarily come through in the traditional application.
The portal allows those voices to persist after students have submitted their application. Applicants who post to the Hive will be able to review other applicants’ profiles and offer them feedback on how they think they can enhance their story. Admissions will see this peer applicant “crowd-sourcing” and let it play a small role in overall admission decisions.
