Payroll and Paychecks
Students receive paychecks on a bi-weekly basis (every other Friday).
All students are paid on an hourly basis and you must report the hours you work. Departments across the University manage time reporting in different ways. Your supervisor is responsible for informing you how to report hours worked.
All students are able to sign up for direct deposit. It’s quick, easy, and you’ll never have to deal with lost paper checks. To sign up for direct deposit, log into HRMS. Select Main Menu > Self Service > Payroll and Compensation > Direct Deposit.
Please be advised students without a Social Security Number are not able to sign up for direct deposit.
All on-campus student employment is processed through HRMS. Once you’re an active employee, you will use HRMS to:
- Report time
- Complete tax forms
- View paychecks or paystubs
- Sign up for direct deposit
- View both current and old W-2s
