How to Apply for Need-Based Financial Aid

The deadline for returning undergraduate students is May 1. Returning students who do not complete their application requirements by 12:00 am EDT, May 1 are not guaranteed full consideration for need-based assistance and may have their aid reduced due to limited funding.

  • All returning undergraduate students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The school code is 002894.
  • Select students will also need to submit the CSS PROFILE. Our school code is 2928. To determine if you are required to complete the CSS PROFILE, log into your FAOnline account and review the Required Documents tab in the 2013-2014 award year.
  • In addition, some students may be required to provide additional documentation, including institutional forms and relevant tax information, to the College Board's IDOC program.* To determine if you are required to complete the IDOC process, log into your FAOnline account and review the Required Documents tab in the 2013-2014 award year.

    • Students required to send their application to IDOC will be notified via email by both the Financial Aid Office and the College Board prior to the 12:00 am EDT, May 1 deadline.
    • If you have questions regarding the IDOC process, email your counselor or visit the IDOC’s Frequently Asked Questions section on the College Board’s website.

*Please note: If a tax extension has been filed for 2012, submit the FAFSA online using 2012 estimates and provide a copy of IRS Form 4868 directly to the Financial Aid Office by 12:00 am EDT, April 15, 2013. Be aware that a complete application packet must be sent to the College Board by 12:00 am EDT September 16, 2013, to be considered for need-based assistance. Contact our office with any questions about this process.
