Hello! I'm a member of the Class of 2020 majoring in mechanical engineering and clustering in German language and culture. I'm from Egypt, but I've spent half my life in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I'm involved in Engineers for a Sustainable World, the Students' Association, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the Student Association for the Development of Arab Cultural Awareness. Hi there! I am a graduate student at the Warner School of Education at the University of Rochester, majoring in Higher Education Administration. Originally, I was born in Kigwa Tabora in Tanzania, however, Syracuse NY is my hometown. I am currently a co-chair of the Higher Education Student Association (HESA) organization, graduate assistant for Leadership Programs in Residential Life, member of Warner Women in Leadership organization, and last but not least, the financial aid literacy program assistant. I have a passion for literacy and empowering others to take control of their financial future. I spend my free time meeting new people and doing research along the way. Hello! I am Associate Director, School and Community Relations. Before coming to the Office of Admissions, I had the privilege of working at the Rochester Center for Community Leadership and RIT’s Spectrum Support Program. A native Wisconsinite, I traveled to sunny Houston for my undergraduate degree at Rice University and eventually landed in Rochester where I received both my Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the Eastman School of Music. As a woman with cerebral palsy, I’m especially passionate about access and inclusion for students with dis(diff)abilities, and am thankful to work with a team that values diversity in all its forms.
