Extracurricular Activities:

What was your favorite University of Rochester tradition?

Dandelion Day. Right before finals each year, all of the students wake up early and spend the day out on Dandelion Square.

What was your most meaningful extracurricular activity?

Being a TA for PSY 101 was my most meaningful activity. I loved interacting with the freshmen and seeing what it was like to be on the other side. Teaching was so rewarding.

What unique opportunities have you taken advantage of at U of R?

I did one-on-one research with a professor of mine one summer. I’ve also had many opportunities to see the world. I traveled to Malawi, Africa the summer after my sophomore year, studied abroad┬áin Rome, Italy, and travelled to Israel for winter break. I was a Take Five student as well, so I received a tuition-free fifth year to study German Music, and I was able to go to Vienna, Austria for one of those semesters.

What was your favorite University of Rochester memory?

This one day during freshman year it was pouring all day. We decided it would be fun to go puddle jumping, and when we returned we were soaked from head to toe.

Describe a Saturday night during your time at Rochester

I hosted a Ladies’ Poker Night in my room, then went to see An Inconvenient Truth at our on-campus movie theatre.
