Net Price Calculator

The following worksheet contains a small sample of the questions found on a complete financial aid application. By answering them, you can get a rough estimate of your family's financial aid eligibility. This estimator is designed to help gauge a family's financial strength, to approximate any qualifying need-based financial aid that may be offered, and to provide an anticipated net price cost to the student.

Please note:

  • The net price calculator is only applicable to prospective first-year students of the University of Rochester.
  • The net price is the estimated cost charged to the student as a first-time, full-time undergraduate, minus the estimated financial aid package.
  • This is only an approximate net price. The calculator is not an actual application for financial aid, nor does it represent a final offer of financial aid from the University of Rochester.
  • The net price estimate provided is subject to change and is not binding on the Secretary of Education, the University of Rochester, or the state of New York.

Please read our disclaimer regarding the significance of this information.

* If your parent's primary source of income is from a business he or she owns, please be aware that the estimate provided may not be accurate due to the complexities that exist in the financial profile of business owners. The estimator provides a general guideline, but the results may be less accurate for business owners than for regular wage earners. This also holds true if your parents are separated, divorced, or were never married.

Special Circumstances: Please understand that this estimator is unable to consider any special circumstances that may affect your family; however, after you have filed the CSS PROFILE with the College Board, you may send a letter to the Financial Aid Office explaining your circumstances. Upon receipt, we will carefully review your information and determine if a change can be made to your initial award. You may still find it useful to complete the estimator, to get an idea of what your financial aid may be before special circumstances are considered.
