Dual Degree with Eastman (DDE)

The University of Rochester’s Dual Degree with Eastman (DDE) program allows qualified students to apply separately to the Eastman School of Music and to the College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering, and if admitted to both schools, pursue a Bachelor of Music degree and Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree at each school simultaneously.

Typically, a DDE student can complete the requirements for both degrees in five years. Prospective DDE students must apply to the College and to Eastman School separately, paying close attention to the specific requirements of each, such as the pre-screening and audition process at Eastman and the Dual Degree Confirmation Form and interview at the College. In order to be considered for the Dual Degree with Eastman program, completed applications must be received by each school by December 1, 12:00 am EST.

Although the two campuses are a few miles apart, frequent shuttle buses make it easy for students to commute between them.
