Scholarships

These scholarships were specifically designed to eliminate barriers to access and encourage Rochester youth to achieve their aspirations for postsecondary achievement. As you know, the University of Rochester is committed to meeting full need for all enrolled students.

  1. Genesee Scholarship - Half-tuition renewable scholarship for a former "little" nominated by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester.
  2. Hillside Work Scholarship Connection - $20,000 per year for a former Hillside scholar.
  3. Jefferson Youth Leadership Scholarship - Three-quarter tuition scholarship for graduates of the 6-8th grade youth leadership program, Merchants of Hope at Jefferson High School.
  4. Rochester Promise - $25,000 per year for graduates from the RCSD who enroll either as freshmen or transfer students in the College of Arts and Sciences.
  5. Wilson International Baccalaureate - Full-tuition scholarship for graduates of the IB Program at Wilson Magnet High School who enroll at the University as freshmen.
  6. Urban League Scholarship - $15,000 per year for youth nominated by the local Urban League office.
  7. The Youth Lifeline America Scholarship - $15,000 per year for a participant in the national YLA program.
