Application Process (Domestic Freshmen)

Extended deadlines: Priority Review/CAPS/Dual Degree

Although our final deadline for first-year applicants has passed, the Office of Admissions will continue to accept required documents from those who've started their application (via Common App or MyRoc). In general early in January, and especially if you or your recommenders have had technical difficulties, we can also accommodate delayed new applications. Applicants are responsible for submitting the following:

If you are applying to a Combined-Admission Program or Dual Degree Program:

  • If applying to one of the Combined-Admission Programs (GEAR, GRADE, REMS), submit the CAPs application.
  • If applying to Dual Degree Programs in Nursing complete the DDN application.
  • If applying to Dual Degree Programs in Music, complete the DDE application.

Supporting Materials

Applicants are required to provide their teacher/counselor/school supervisor with the following materials/requests.

  • High school transcript (showing at least 3 years of grades)
  • Teacher Evaluation (Common Application)
  • Midyear Report (Common Application)
  • School Report (Common Application)
  • University of Rochester Family/Community Recommendation Form (optional)
