My favorite Rochester tradition I’ve experienced so far as a student is the candlelight ceremony on the very first night of freshman orientation. It was so cool to look around you and see your entire class encircling the Eastman quad. Everyone is standing their holding a candle, looking about himself, knowing this is the place and these are the people that will shape the four most important years of their lives.
