I am the only U of R student who has a twin brother and a mother who has an identical twin.
What is your favorite University of Rochester tradition? Why?
My favorite U of R tradition is Melioria Weekend because it’s really awesome to have so many alumni come back and show that they still have so much pride in the school just like the current students.
What is your most meaningful extracurricular activity? Why?
Varsity volleyball is my most meaningful extracurricular because it has provided me with a team who is my family at school and it allows me to travel around the country to play and experience new cities.
What is your favorite University of Rochester memory?
My favorite University of Rochester memory is going to the top of the Rush Rhees with my best friend and looking around and being able to see the city on one side and the entire campus on the other.
Why did your choose the University of Rochester?
I chose the University of Rochester because it was the first school where I felt that feeling everyone talks about. The campus is unbelievably beautiful, the people are accepting, and the academics are rigorous but also enriching.
What unique opportunities have you taken advantage of at Rochester?
I have attended a number of lectures by guest speakers at the medical center and on the Rochester campus and been able to hear many remarkable speakers.
Why is University of Rochester a good fit for you?
University of Rochester is a good fit for me because I like to think of myself as an accepting person and Rochester is an unbelievably accepting place. Every person here embraces different types of people and is open to people who are different from themselves. The school also provides endless opportunities for people to explore their different interests and be who they really want to be.
If you could meet one celebrity on a tour, who would it be?
What is your favorite part of the UR Campus to show on a tour?
What is your favorite off campus event and why?
I love to rent bikes from the school and go for bike rides around the city and explore.
Who is your favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Nancy Chin because she not only really cares about knowing her students but she also has a wealth of unbelievable experiences which she is able to share with her students and apply to the topics we learn about in class.
What’s been your favorite class? Why?
My favorite class was Public Health 101 because it opened my eyes to a field which was so relevant to everyday life and inherently interesting.
How would you describe the “typical Rochester student?”
The “typical Rochester student” is focused on their studies and works hard to accomplish their goals. They are competitive in the real world but not toward their fellow students.
