Modern Languages and Cultures

The MLC department explores languages, literatures, and cultures within specific national traditions, as well as literary and cultural theory and practice across national and disciplinary boundaries.

Majors (BA): French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish

Minors: Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish

Fun Fact: Two MLC alumnae from the Class of 2011 were awarded Fulbright Scholarships to teach English abroad: Rachel Sitts, a Spanish minor, in Spain, and Jenna Miller, a Russian major, in Kazakhstan.
