Academic Interests:

What was your favorite University of Rochester tradition?

At the end of every first semester my a cappella group did a really small show where we decorated one of the gorgeous rooms in the library with holiday decorations for a small holiday concert. There was always food and it was really intimate and a lot of fun.

What was your favorite U of R memory?

During a thunderstorm last spring, everyone spontaneously decided to go mud sliding after class. People just threw down their bookbags and slid down the hill behind Sue B.

What was your favorite thing about the city of Rochester?

The Park Ave area. I loved to go get brunch or lunch on a Sunday morning when it was nice and walk around and people-watch.

Why did you choose the University of Rochester?

I chose U of R because the campus was beautiful, the open curriculum perfect for my varied academic interests, and because I’m a singer the proximity to the Eastman School of Music made it really easy to take lessons, see shows, and meet other singers.

What unique opportunities have you taken advantage of at U of R?

I had the opportunity to study abroad, and I used the Career Center, which was fabulous! Also, even though it was a university, because Rochester focused on undergraduates I was able to sit in on numerous graduate seminars, and I never felt out of place. I don’t think that would happened at another school.
