What was your favorite University of Rochester tradition?
My absolute favorite tradition was Dandelion Day. The sun wa almost always shining by that time in April, and the whole college community came out to enjoy music, food, and friends. It was a great way to celebrate the end of classes!
What was your favorite U of R memory?
I think freshman orientation week will always be one of my favorite college memories. My friends and I had such a blast getting to know each other and the campus before having to start with our classes. We still joke that it was like summer camp!
What was your favorite thing about the city of Rochester?
There was just so much that the city had to take advantage of: various specialty restaurants, Blue Cross Arena and its performances, the Little and Geva Theatres, various nightlife venues. There were countless ways to keep entertained in Rochester.
Why did you choose the University of Rochester?
I was initially drawn to the flexibility of the University’s curriculum. The cluster system seemed perfect for me and I loved the idea of not having required core classes. My campus visit and overnight stay then further sealed my decision — I thought the campus was beautiful.
What unique opportunities have you taken advantage of at U of R?
Extracurriculars were equally as important to me as my time in class, and I was so glad to have had a part in so many organizations and activities. Becoming involved on campus introduced me to so many people who really influenced my time at Rochester.
